Tim Haag

President & CEO
Tim Haag is the President & CEO at State Collection Service and is the grandson of State Collection Service founder, Hilding Haag. He has been with the company since 2009, starting out as a Sales Executive and quickly taking on the roles of Director of Client Services, Vice President of Support Services and now leading the team as President. Over the past several years, Tim has played a key role in State’s exceptional growth. Today, it currently employs over 700 people and continues garnering national attention as the receivables company of choice for major healthcare systems throughout the United States. His efforts were crucial in State being named a Best Places to Work in Call Centers the past eight years. He is a Past President of the Great Lakes Credit & Collectors Association and the International Collector’s Group. He is a member of the Board of Directors and is President Elect of the American Collections Association International. Tim enjoys spending his summers on the lakes near Madison, WI with his wife Kristen and chocolate lab Rizzo.

Kris Aeschlimann

Chief Financial Officer
Kris Aeschlimann joined State as Chief Financial Officer in 2019, bringing more than 20 years tax planning and strategic financial leadership experience. Kris previously served as CFO for a commercial real estate investment firm. Prior to that, she was a Strategic Advisor and Business Consultant where she assisted organizations drive organizational and financial results through the application of the 80/20 principle. Today, she leads State’s finance and client services teams. Outside of work, Kris is a runner who enjoys participating in team-based athletic challenges such as Ragnar, Tough Mudder and Abominable Snow Race as well as enjoying attending her four children’s sporting events.

Mike Frost

Chief Compliance Officer
Mike Frost is State’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer as well as leading the Training and Quality Assurance teams. He is also a partner in the law firm of Frost Echols PLLC, where he leads the firm’s regulatory and compliance services. He offers vast experience in the receivables management industry, having held leadership and executive roles for nearly 15 years before transitioning into private practice. He has appeared on panels before the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and has extensive experience lobbying on Capitol Hill. Mike was recently named a “Top 50 Receivables Professional” by Receivables Advisor Magazine, was named “Member of the Year” in 2019 by ACA International and also received the “Judicial Advocacy Award” from ACA International in 2018. He ensures State’s compliance with all regulatory and legal guidelines as well as guiding legal best practices. Mike resides in Iowa, with a large family and enjoys traveling, camping and fishing.

Tracy Parsons

Vice President of Client Development
Tracy Parsons serves as State’s Vice President of Client Development. With nearly 20 years of experience working directly with healthcare clients around the country, she has a keen understanding of the operating and regulatory challenges facing healthcare providers today as well as the solutions to increase cash flow within the business office. Tracy has been with State for more than a decade, and during this time, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence in client satisfaction, the development of client relationships, and her ability to lead others. She also served as the President of the Wisconsin Chapter of HFMA in 2021-2022. Parsons is a dedicated runner who lives in Wisconsin with her husband and four children.

Jason Wallin

Vice President of Bad Debt Operations
Jason Wallin is the Vice President of Bad Debt Operations for State. With more than 30 years of industry experience, he joined the State team in 2010 overseeing the operations for our Chicago office. He has been instrumental in State’s growth and has played a crucial role in shaping our Early Out, Third Party and Insurance divisions to meet the ever-changing market requirements. Today, he is focused on driving overall operational efficiency, streamlining processes, improving revenue cycle performance, and enhancing our client and their patients experience to align with our value proposition throughout all operational divisions. He enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and two sons.

Jake Richards

Vice President of EBO Operations
Jake Richards has been in the ARM industry for 13 years with expertise in the student loan and healthcare space. Jake's journey in the ARM industry began as a collection representative. Over the years, he has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of our industry. Currently, Jake serves as the Vice President of Extended Business Office Operations at State. Jake believes that success in the ARM industry depends not only on individual expertise but also on the collaborative effort of a cohesive team focused on meeting client and organization targets.

Angie Johnson

Vice President of Human Resources
Angie Johnson joined State in 2023 and was recently promoted to Vice President of Human Resources. She offers more than 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, where she has consistently moved the HR function from tactical work, enforcing rules, to a strategic role that is critical in driving organizational development. She resides in Wisconsin with her husband and two active, young sons.

Steve Beard

Executive Advisor
Steve Beard is State’s Chief Business Development Officer, having spent most of his career identifying solutions for the healthcare revenue cycle. He joined the company in 2009, with more than 25 years of experience in the health care receivables management industry. He previously led the health care division of Finvi (formerly Ontario Systems) where he was responsible for strategy, development, support, sales and marketing. Today Steve leads State’s sales and marketing efforts through this time of significant growth as well as remaining deeply involved with our clients, ensuring that we are exceeding expectations. He is a frequent speaker at national HFMA events and was a member of HFMA’s Medical Accounts Receivable Resolution task force. Steve is both a runner and a foodie, equally enjoying training for a marathon or making restaurant recommendations as well spending time with his family.

Terry Armstrong

Executive Advisor
Terry Armstrong is the Executive Advisor to State, having served as President from 2011-2018. He spent almost 20 years with Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA) in the receivables and information services area. He also spent 10 years with Perot Systems Corporation as the COO and CEO of the Revenue Cycle Solutions group. He was responsible for outsourcing, the technical services organization, full-service operations, business office interim management and consulting, government accounts division and growth of the revenue cycle division. Terry enjoys fishing and hunting in addition to watching the Tennessee Titans.

Tina Hanson

Strategic Planning Advisor
Tina Hanson is the Strategic Planning Advisor of State. She is a certified instructor for the American Collections Association International, holding both their Scholar and Fellows degrees, and earned her IFCCE designation in 2009. Additionally, Tina earned the Fred Kirschner award for instructing over 125 ACA seminars. She has served as Chairperson of the PPMS Committee and Education Council as well as the R&D and Ethics Committees. She received the Kurt Swersky Leadership Award from ACA in 2003 and was named ACA’s Member of the Year in July 2003 as well as the Instructor of the Year in 2012. Tina enjoys painting and escaping the Wisconsin winters to the sunny beaches of Florida.
